I am an Exclusive Buyers Agent serving the Vancouver, Washington area. What does that mean to you as a prospective home buyer? I strongly hold the view that buyers should have their own agents. Buyers who use the seller’s agent in purchasing a home deny themselves a valuable protection that doesn’t cost them anything. The seller’s agent represents the seller first, last, and always; it is legally required that the seller’s agent transmit all information that is known about the buyer and the buyer’s negotiating position. Buyers should have their own Exclusive Buyer’s Agents, who have duties and loyalties only to their buyer clients, who have no listings to sell, and who offer objective advice.

I am committed to service, creativity, and responsiveness. I only accept a few clients at a time, so each client receives my full attention until the transaction is completed and my client is satisfied.
At our first meeting, we will discuss your needs and desires and complete a worksheet that will help me select the homes that meet your requirements. I will explain my commitment to you and make sure you understand the home buying process. I will also ask that you meet with a lender so that you may be approved for a mortgage (unless you are paying cash); this avoids delays and other problems later. I will provide you with a packet of useful information on schools, neighborhoods, lenders, inspectors, and crime statistics.
I will search the multiple listing database as well as homes for sale by owners. I will show you all the homes available in your price range if that is your desire. If you would prefer a list of homes for you to drive by, I will arrange that for you. We will take each viewing session at your pace and on your terms.
When you have selected a home, I will help you prepare an offer that reflects the conditions of the home and the current market. Throughout the processes of negotiations and inspections, my role as your agent is essential to your financial and emotional well-being; I’m there for you. Our relationship will not end with the closing or housewarming present. My responsibility continues toward your satisfaction and a lasting relationship.
Megan Paul
Megan’s real estate career began in the recession of 1982 when she and her husband bought their first home at an interest rate of 17%. Her husband was a custom home builder in the Central Valley of California and she was involved in all phases of the business. After many years teaching, several moves and home purchases, her family moved to Vancouver. She knew that having an Exclusive Buyers Agent was a brilliant idea when moving to a new area, and Dawn help her find the perfect home. With Dawn’s encouragement, Megan joined Buyers Brokerage Inc. She enjoys educating her clients in all phases of the purchasing process.
